THE CLEARWATER

          Here in Natural Log Homes we came across many home designs in the past 25 years. Some good, some not so good. We never used to offer standard plans, and all of our homes were custom designed to suit each customer needs, location, views, etc.
Recently, after increasing numbers of enquiries we decided to offer first of our NLH standard plans – The Clearwater. We worked closely with one of our architect – Jess Paterson, who has been designing log homes for our customers for many years.
The Clearwater is the most cost effective 3 bedroom log home, yet not lacking character and style. Total floor area is 116 sqm. 78 sqm downstairs and 38 upstairs. It features 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and laundry.  Thanks to cathedral ceiling this house feels vary spacious.
The package price for this house includes all logwork, architectural drawings (lower and upper floor plan and four elevations) and structure engineer specification .
Of course this plan can be changed to suit your own needs – for example it could easily become a two bedroom house or the loft may be completely open.

There are other things that need adding to the drawings to suit your particular site and location. Things that need to be taken in to consideration at your site are your soil type (for drainage and septic options), your foundation design, topograph, wind zone, earthquake zone, snow load etc.These items may require site specific engineering. A specific site plan has to be added to these plans also to show your site boundaries, recession planes, and also waste water fields etc.
